At its core, this project is deeply rooted in place. Every element has been thoughtfully considered and strategically crafted to reflect the land and location that Somewhere South calls home in Willunga. From the identity and colour palette to the patterns and textures, each detail draws directly from the surrounding landscape, creating a brand that feels both grounded and intentional.
Somewhere South is more than a wine label. It is an evolving destination. With wine, an event space, and luxury accommodation on the horizon, the brand has been designed to grow into a complete, immersive experience.
Luxury here is not defined by excess, but by intention. Every decision carries weight. Every detail matters. It is in the smallest moments, where precision, care, and strategy come together, that a brand creates distinction and leaves a lasting impression.
The identity system reflects this philosophy. The logo and brand mark are inspired by the geography of the region, with the mark itself referencing a location pin. The typography is clean and understated, with a subtle ruggedness that nods to the natural environment. The composition is deliberate, with “south” positioned lower in the layout, quietly reinforcing its directional meaning.
Supporting the identity is a series of label designs that function as a cohesive system. Each label captures a different fragment of the landscape through pattern and texture, resulting in a collection that feels unified yet distinct. The outcome is clean, confident, and designed to stand out on shelf, a visual expression of the place it represents.
This approach extends across all brand collateral, where the elements are explored in flexible and unexpected ways while maintaining a strong connection to the core concept. Every application is guided by intention, ensuring consistency without limiting creativity.
